RatesResidential Commercial Commercial rates generally apply to commercial and industrial settings, clubs, public buildings, schools, churches and similar organizations that require single phase power with a transformer not larger than 50 KVA. General Service - Small and Medium General service is single phase and three phase service associated with business and industry. Primary Service For large industrial customers the Cooperative currently offers a standard Primary rate. This rate is predicated on the member/customer's ownership of the primary voltage equipment on the site. Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) A power cost adjustment is appliable to all rate schedules. Choptank's current Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) is a credit of $0.00785/kWh. Lighting Service Lighting service is available to towns, villages, members, public and private organizations for controlled street, highway and area lighting from dusk to dawn. Universal Service Program Charge This charge is applicable to residential, commercial, and industrial rate schedules. The charges are to recover costs of universal service programs required by the Maryland Electric Customer Choice and Competition Act of 1999, including bill assistance, low-income weatherization and the retirement of arrearages that were included prior to July 1, 2000. Net Metering Available to any eligible "customer-generator" members who are served under an applicable tariff or the principal residence of a member on an applicable, general service tariff, on a first-come, first-served basis.
