The Kent County Board of Appeals has voted 2-1 to approve the Special Use Exception for the Sassafras Substation site. Century Engineering will be finalizing the site plan and reforestation plan. Following a lengthy permitting process, Choptank Electric should be able to schedule construction for the substation in 2009.
