Youth Tour: The Trip of a Life Time
More than 1,500 students from all across America take part in the Youth Tour experience each year, and so can you! Travel to Washington, D.C., where you will meet your U.S. Representatives and Senators, learn about rural electric, and much more! This unique trip will give you the opportunity to watch history come alive as you explore the museums, memorials and monuments with students from your state. You will meet student leaders from nearly every state and listen to dynamic leaders on Youth Day. Bottom line, you will make friendships that will last a lifetime and be part of a group that has more than 50,000 alumni in every walk of life including U.S. Senators and CEOs.
*Unfortunately, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has caused organizers to cancel the 2020 Youth Tour to safeguard the health of its more than 1,500 participants. The cancellation should not diminish the achievement of the youths who were tapped for the prestigious honor, as well as the many volunteer chaperons. They represent the best of their co-ops and we appreciate their commitment to Youth Tour.
The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association is the national service organization that represents the nation’s more than 900 private, not-for-profit, consumer-owned electric cooperatives, which provide service to 42 million people in 47 states. They work to promote and support co-ops and to champion their business model.
